Dear Rottweiler Friends, I am afraid that I do not bring happy news.
Because of medical reasons, I am forced to resign as President/Boardmember of the IFR and from all other cynologic mandates. I have also cancelled all invitations to judge trials, shows, BST’s, seminars, … .
I will not be able to be present at the IFR-events in Hungary and Czech Republik, incl. the Meeting of Delegates and I will not be a candidate for the elections for the new Board. Mr. W. Horn, IFR-Vice President, will take over my duties.
Believe me when I say that ending my work for the Rottweiler is very hard for me but I will now need all my strength and courage for myself and my family and I must give priority to this.
I have been active in the IFR Board since 2003. I am proud that during those 20 years, I have enjoyed your trust and been allowed to contribute my part to turn the Federation into an active association with a constitution and regulations that offer all possibilities to ensure the future of the Rottweiler as a healthy utility breed.
The work is however not finished and will not be finished before all Member Clubs will have introduced and will enforce breeding regulations that support this goal. I know that your love for the breed and your idealism will help realise this. In doing this, all Clubs will be supported by our (very capable) board members.
It was my pleasure and an honor to serve the Rottweiler and it’s community and I wish the Breed and it’s Friends all the best.
